In the future, remote areas of Russia will be powered more easily, thanks to a tiny mobile atomic facility located on a special boat.

The Interfax news agency reported that an $ 85 million contract had been signed between Alexander Poluschkin, deputy director of the Rosenergoatom nuclear plant and a Chinese shipyard. And the floating nuclear plant project will start in 2006 with a total value of more than $ 200 million and will be funded by the national budget of Russia.

Time to complete this project can last for five years and then the mobile nuclear plant can reach the most remote villages of European or Far Eastern regions.
