Aliens may be extinct

Australian biologists think life on other planets can be short-lived and quickly extinct.

In the study to find out how life evolved, scientists at the Australian National University (ANU) found that new life forms often die due to erratic hot and cold conditions on young planets.

"The universe can be filled with planets that are conducive to life and aliens," Phys.org quoted Dr. Aditya Chopra at ANU's School of Earth Sciences Research, the lead author of the study. early January in Astrobiology magazine.

"Early life was very fragile, and rarely evolved fast enough to survive. Most of the environment on early planets was unstable. To create a planet conducive to survival and life forms. need to regulate greenhouse gases as well as water and carbon dioxide to maintain stable surface temperatures , " Chopra said.

About 4 billion years ago, Earth, Venus and Mars could all be favorable for life. However, after a million years of formation, Venus became too hot while Mars was too cold.

If ever existed, the original microbial life on Venus and Mars could not stabilize the environment rapidly change, according to Associate Professor Charley Lineweaver at ANU's Planetary Science Institute."Life on Earth plays a leading role in climate stabilization ," Lineweaver said.

Dr. Chopra emphasized their hypothesis to help solve a problem that is difficult to explain."The reason we have not yet found the trail of aliens is not associated with the possibility of survival of life or intelligence. It is more related to the biological coordination effect of surface cycles. Chopra concludes, " concludes Chopra.

Stone planets with materials and energy sources needed for life can be common in the universe. However, scientists have not found the existence of alien life."Much of the fossil in the universe comes from extinct bacterial life forms, not from multicellular organism organizations like dinosaurs or humans that need billions of years to evolve," Lineweaver said.
