America dreams of traveling to the stars

The US Department of Defense will give half a million dollars to people who come up with a way to realize the Star Trek movie - bringing people to a star.

DARPA, the Pentagon's defense technology research agency, said that up to 150 people will join the Ministry's pre-qualification to seek ideas to turn the dream of interstellar travel into a century next.

AP quoted David Neyland, director of DARPA's strategic technology office, saying the journey to the stars is not the same as the journey to the planet near the earth. It is also not the use of exploration robots.

The nearest star outside the solar system is 25,000 billion miles from Earth. The fastest type of missile that humans make takes 4,000 years to get there. Therefore, it is important to face the problem of existence in the universe, endure psychological and self-care abilities, Neyland added.

The Pentagon is famous for its big ideas and big investments. DARPA is also the place that created momentum for Internet development.

DARPA will also spend a total of $ 1 million for the Starship project (the interstellar vessel) in the next 100 years. After listening to the presentation of ideas at the conference held in November, DARPA will decide who will receive the money.

Among those involved in the project, there was billionaire scientist Craig Venter, one of the people who drew the genetic map of humans.
