Main drunken syndrome

Noodles are a form of glutamic acid, it is also present naturally in foods including: cheese, meat, fish, mushrooms, tomatoes and walnuts . Even, even in the human body contains up to 2 kg MSG.

Even so, MSG is used as a supplement, flavoring agent in food can cause some unpleasant effects for some people.

Science doesn't know why instant noodles can make some people get drunk, and others don't. Even people who often assume that they are sick with main noodles, if they eat food without knowing which contains the main noodles, sometimes there is no reaction.

A study by Yeonsung University and Kyung Hee University in Korea, published in 2014, synthesized the unpleasant symptoms that people reported after eating main noodles. Accordingly, the most common feeling they encounter is thirst, feeling drowsy, limp, headaches and feeling sick like being sick.

'Some people experience symptoms, such as headaches and sweating, after eating in a Chinese restaurant [often Chinese restaurants in the west or giving a lot of pasta]' , Dr Leonard said. . 'The medical community once called this symptom group the Chinese restaurant syndrome . Doctors now call it the MSG symptom complex '.

Dr Leonard added that scientific research on the main problem of drunkenness is quite limited. On the contrary, there are a lot of scientific reports or retelling cases about it. The reason for the main sickness syndrome is usually not serious and can go away on its own, even before the person experiencing it needs medical assistance.

One of the cases of individual main wheat intoxication is reported in 2017 in the Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine. It was a 23-year-old male in Mahad in northern India, believed to have lost his voice and lost his ability to swallow after eating the main noodles.

This young man came to the hospital in a difficult state and could not swallow. The doctors found his mouth swollen, and noted it as a result of him eating Chinese fried rice with pasta the night before.

Young men complained that after that he had dizziness, sweating and itching all over his body. But after coming to the hospital and being supported, he soon recovered.

Try drinking ginger tea or mint tea

Dr. Leonard suggested, if people feel the mild symptoms of the main symptoms, they should drink peppermint tea or ginger tea.

Ginger tea helps reduce nausea. It is often used to reduce morning sickness in pregnant women and side effects in cancer patients.

Scientists are also not sure why ginger tea can soothe the stomach and reduce nausea. The hypothesis is that ginger has an ingredient that helps control serotonin levels in the brain - linked to a feeling of vomiting - or it can also reduce inflammation in the intestine.

Meanwhile, peppermint tea is said to be able to break down fat in the digestive system, reducing nausea.

In addition, Dr. Leonard said that people who have the main drunken syndrome should also drink water to keep their bodies hydrated . If the headache is severe, they should rest and take pain medicine. The case of medical assistance is when symptoms become severe, such as difficulty breathing, chest tightness or whole body allergy.
