Asteroids are longer than the football field about to rush through the Earth

The two asteroids will fly over the Earth 5 hours apart, the largest meteorite with an estimated diameter of 120 meters, longer than the football field.

The giant asteroid, called 2009 WB105, will approach the Earth at 4:14 pm in Vietnam time. This is the first time in three years this asteroid has grazed the Earth. According to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, meteorites are 53 - 120 meters in diameter, Daily Star reported.

WB105 will be higher than the Big Ben clock tower in the UK and the Statue of Liberty in America. In other words, the celestial body is about the size of 13 buses that line up. WB105 will fly over Earth at a distance of 5.8 million kilometers. Astronomically, this is a very close distance and the asteroid WB105 is classified as a flying object near the Earth (NEO).

"When flying around the Sun, NEOs can sometimes get very close to the Earth. Notice the near definition in astronomy very far from human imagery, maybe millions or even tens of millions of kilometers." , NASA explained.

According to NASA calculations, meteorites will move in space at a speed of 67,967km / h. Asteroid WB105 will approach the Earth after exactly three years, on November 25, 2021. After WB105, a smaller asteroid will approach Earth at 1224 on November 26 at a distance of 8 times the distance from Earth to the Moon, equivalent to nearly 3.2 million kilometers. Still, NASA says the Earth is still safe because of the risk of extremely small collisions.
