The US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has marked 45 years of human footfall on the moon on July 20.

On this occasion, the agency announced it would launch a robot mission to reach an asteroid around 2019.

'The spacecraft can grab the entire asteroid, or double it and pull the larger part of its orbit around the moon,' according to Space.com to announce a message from NASA.

'New technologies that we will test through the Mission to Lead the Asteroid , and the ability to send astronauts to carry out this mission will play an important role in the effort to safely bring people to Mars. ' , according to the statement.

Among these, NASA will test techniques including Solar Power Pushing Technology , which is considered an effective method of moving large objects and heavy load blocks to support Mars missions.

NASA also continues to invest heavily in the technologies needed for the purpose of exploring the surface of the red planet, such as the Low Density Super Bar Reducer.
