Excavation of Cao's tomb, believed to be in An Duong, Ha Noi, last year raised many heated debates in Chinese archeology. Although from the artifacts collected, many experts have 'initially confirmed' the tomb in An Duong is Cao Cao grave. However, the critics said that these artifacts are not enough to prove the owner of the tomb is Cao Cao himself.

Prior to the heated debates of many experts on the authenticity of the grave, scientists from FuDan University, China have come up with a plan to find and compare DNA samples from Cao Cao's descendants. with the skeleton found in the grave to determine if the tomb's owner is Cao Cao.

According to the latest information from the people who carried out the project to compare this DNA sample, currently, through the initial research and survey process, the DNA sampling of Cao Cao descendants has two big progresses. .

Cao Cao is not Xia Hau

A long way of saying that is still widely circulated, Cao Tung, Cao Cao's father, who brought them to Ha Hau, was later adopted by Cao Dang and adopted as Cao. Therefore, Cao Cao is actually their descendant, Ha Hau, not Cao.

In this way, finding the DNA of Cao Cao's descendant is more accurate than finding the bearers of the Hau Hau family, or at least in the group of DNA samples that must include those carrying the Hau Hau family. . However, the Vice-President of the Wei Jin Historical Society of North China, Han Sheng Data denies this way of speaking.

Han Thang Data said, according to the records in the history books that are preserved until now, it can be confirmed that Cao Cao did not have to bring Ha Hau.

The book "Three Kingdoms - Vu De Ky" wrote: 'Thai To Emperor, the country of Bai, the Cao, the name of Dinh, Manh is Manh Duc . In the reign of the Emperor, Cao Dang served as Dai Thuong Thi, stripping the title of Dinh Dinh Hau. , adopted child is Tung, who is in charge of the position of Thai Uy, the origin is unknown. Born into the nest . ' . This passage clearly states that Cao Tung is Cao's adopted son, but the origin is unknown.

Moreover, the way of saying 'Cao's family originated from the Ha Hau family' was not mentioned by Tran Tho, the author of 'Tam Quoc Chi' but only the part of Bui Tung Chi's uncle later. Chinese historians in the Three Kingdoms period knew that although the part of Bui Tung Chi was a supplement to Tran Tho's "Three Kingdoms", he gathered from many sources so there was no less mistakes.

"The principle of receiving the inheritance of the ancients is to receive the children of their people to be their children. According to historical studies, although Cao Dang is a eunuch, he also has brothers. It is possible to rule out the possibility that Cao Cao is their descendant Ha Hau in the old way. '

This conclusion means that it is possible to eliminate the Ha Hau men from the group of people who need to take DNA samples as originally planned. So this is considered a step forward in finding the DNA of Cao Cao's descendant.

Until now, both domestic and foreign have stored about 285 Cao families of genealogies, many of which can be traced back to the time before the Song Dynasty. Through studying these genealogies, scientists have identified key areas to search for Cao Cao descendants.

One is the originating area of Cao Cao government, which is also the place where the density of Cao's family is relatively high now. The area encompasses the area around Bai district at that time, ie the border area between Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan and Shandong. In addition, in the history of Cao's family, there is also movement and base on genealogy, the migration area of Cao is mainly in Truong Giang river basin including Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Hunan provinces, .

According to the latest information, in March this year, Chinese scientists will conduct DNA sampling in key areas identified to compare the DNA of the remains collected in the tomb in An Duong. As expected, it will take about 2 months to sample and the whole project takes at least half a year to complete.
