Carnivorous dinosaur footprints on Australian beach

A tourist finds 130 million year old dinosaur footprints while walking on Cable Beach, Australia.

Bindi tourist Lee Porth found footprints of 130 million year old dinosaurs in Cable Beach, Broome town, Western Australia, Nature World News reported on 9/9.

While picking up seashells on the coast, Porth felt a dent in his feet. After removing the sand, she found traces of dinosaurs."It's beautiful and like a bird's footprint," Porth remarked.

Although many times walking on the sea, this is the first time she saw dinosaur footprints."I was surprised. It was a great thing to be able to connect with traces from millions of years ago," Porth replied to ABC.

" Three-finger footprints may be from carnivorous dinosaurs Megasauropus Broomensis . This is a unique species found only in the Dampier peninsula", Dr. Salisbury, paleontologist, longtime lecturer of the University of Queensland, Australia , said.

After measuring the footprint size, Dr. Salisbury said it had a hip height of about 1.5–1.8m. He thinks this is an interesting finding."The special thing about Broome town and the coast here is that you can go for a walk while exploring these traces," Salisbury said.

On the Dampier peninsula there are many footprints of Cretaceous dinosaurs such as carnivorous dinosaurs, lizard foot dinosaurs, herbivorous dinosaurs and many other species. This is the only area in Australia with dinosaur traces.
