Xinhua news agency reported that at 3:10 am on September 19, China successfully launched two more satellites in orbit to establish the country's North Self-Global Positioning System.

This is the 14th and 15th satellites in the North Dau System, launched from the Central Station of the Xuchang Satellite in Sichuan Province, Southwest China, with the Truong Chinh-3B rocket.

Since the beginning of the provision of testing services on December 27, 2011, Bac Dau system has been operating stably while the service has been continuously improved.

Bac Dau positioning system is used in the fields of transportation, weather forecast, fisheries, forestry, telecommunications, monitoring and hydrological mapping. In 2000, China began to build its own satellite navigation system so that it was not dependent on the US Global Positioning System (GPS).

However, the Bac Dau 1 system consisting of three satellites set up from October 2000 to May 2003 was unable to meet the increasing demand, so China decided to build a full positioning system. Bac Dau 2 bridge is superior.

From April 2007 to April this year, China launched 13 more satellites in the Bac Dau 2 system with a total of 35 satellites.

The 11, 12 and 13 satellites are launched with Truong Chinh 3B and 3C boosters on February 25 and April 30.

The North Head 2 network will provide services to the Asia-Pacific region this year and on a global scale by 2020.
