Chinese scientist inspired 71,000 volts of electricity to study

A leading researcher on the electrostatic potential of the human body in China has experimented with launching 71,000 volts of electricity on people.

Liu Shang Hop , a lecturer of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the father of static electricity safety studies in the country, is known to be the one who suffered the highest flow of static electricity into the body during the study.

Mr. Liu started his research on "static electricity specter" since 1983, when he was a lecturer at the Military Military Officers School in Hebei Province. Seeing many tragedies related to electrostatic explosion, he said that military ammunition stores could only ensure safety when dealing with electrostatic problems, according to ECNS. The scientist decided to move his research major from semiconductor to static electricity and ammunition.

After much effort, he published a study on how to change polymer materials to keep them from being charged and recognized by the international community. He and his colleagues invented a set of 5 tools to test electrostatic ability.

Based on his calculations, he thinks that people with static resistance are much higher than those of American and British experts. To test, in 1992, he decided to experiment with discharging static electricity into the body and withstand the current of up to 71,000 volts.

The 80-year-old scientist is still diligently researching and teaching, although his long-term exposure to toxic gases and radiation causes his lymphocytes to decline by half compared to normal levels.
