Da Vinci's 60 USD painting is auctioned at 100 million USD

Once bought for $ 60, Leonardo da Vinci's "Salvator Mundi" painting is expected to reach $ 100 million when auctioned off.

According to the New York Times, pre-auction exhibitions of paintings in Hong Kong, London, San Francisco and now New York have attracted the attention of media and the public.

The Da Vinci painting of Jesus was hung in the palace before disappearing at the end of the 18th century. The moment the painting was re-exported in 1900, its origins were forgotten.

This masterpiece was sold at Christie's auction house in 1958 for $ 60. In 2011, the painting was identified as Da Vinci's work. This is one of the less than 20 known works of Da Vinci and is the only private work.
