According to Tran Dac Phu, Director of Preventive Medicine, it is worth noting that the number of patients in the Northern provinces this year increased by 763% compared to the same period last year. Compared to other localities, in the first 6 months, the number of dengue patients in the North is not the highest, but the growth rate is fast and is considered abnormal by medical experts.

Ho Chi Minh City tops the country with 9,538 patients, followed by Da Nang, Binh Duong, Hanoi and An Giang. Associate Professor Phan Trong Lan, Director of Pasteur Ho Chi Minh City, suggested medical staff should avoid spraying mosquito repellent in 4-5pm when people focus on eating and living.
