Israeli Antiquities Department investigators said they seized these two coffins during an inspection of antique shops in Jerusalem. The results of the autopsy show that their age is thousands of years old.

The lid of the sarcophagus is beautifully decorated and is dated to the Iron Age.

'They are beautifully decorated to hold their breath with familiar figures of ancient Egyptian civilization,' said the representative of the Department.

The carbon-chronological examination confirmed that these two artifacts are 100% real, in which a cap dates from the 10th century - the 8th century BC, which is also the Iron Age, and the other belonged to the 16th century - the 14th century was the end of Bronze.

The archaeological world is still unclear as to why these two coffins were lost to Israel. However, they were cut in half (causing irreparable damage), allowing speculation that smugglers had hidden them in standard-sized suitcases for convenience. Maybe the thieves had scoured the ancient tombs in the desert of Western Egypt before smuggling them for smugglers.

The coffins of this type always have traces of chemicals used to embalm, but officials are not sure what happened to the mummy inside. And the case, once again, reflects the black market's excitement for antiques, with an estimated market value of up to billions of dollars.
