"This is the first time I saw a white squirrel because they are rare, hoping it is not the last," Andrew said. "It took me a while to find it even though I heard people say there was one in the park."

According to BoredPanda on October 27, white squirrels are a rare species, with 1 million new squirrels having one white color - due to the condition of the condition called leucism (loss of pigmentation resulting in white).

Unlike albino, leucism does not affect the eyes, so the eyes of the animal with leucism do not turn red and it retains good eyesight as their "brothers".
