Discover the most 'weird' duckbill dinosaur in history

This new species is one of the most primitive duck-billed dinosaurs.

The skull of an unusual duck-billed dinosaur that lived 80 million years ago was discovered in Texas.

It is thought to be a completely new species and has a strange face different from those previously discovered. Scientists named this new species Aquilarhinus palimentus because they have eagle-like noses and wide lower jaws.

This duckbill dinosaur lived about 80 million years ago.

This animal moves in wet areas, eats aquatic plants under the marshes of an ancient plain, which is today the Chihuahuan desert.

This finding is also published in the Journal of Paleontology. Professor Tom Lehman of Texas Tech University collected rock samples from Mount Rattle Snake and discovered their bones in the 1980s.

After several decades of research, the strange characteristics of this species are completely different from the two previously known duckbill dinosaur groups.

They have a different mouth section than other duck-billed dinosaurs.

Duck-billed dinosaurs, also known as hadrosaurids , are common herbivorous dinosaurs at the end of the Mesozoic period with typical speculum.

This new species is one of the most primitive duck-billed dinosaurs, discovering that it can uncover mysteries about the evolution and migration of this species.

A special duck mouth helps them cut and hold plants as food for themselves. The speculum form of this species is also very different from its previously known relatives.
