Russian scientists invented a new method of oil and gas extraction, which increased up to 90% of hydrocarbon extraction. The proposed method of replacing the drill with a laser beam is capable of penetrating difficult-to-reach places. The invention that opened the opportunity to work in drilled wells was closed due to the inability of the old mining method.

New innovations fundamentally. Russian scientists claim that the use of technology will allow the extraction of most oil and gas from reservoirs. Expert Alexei Gromov said that the currently used method only collects 30 to 40% of reserves:

Previously, US scientists have proposed using lasers in the mining industry. However, their technique is significantly different: Americans only plan to heat rocky soil with lasers, creating more favorable conditions when drilling and reducing the wear of the device. In addition, some experts say this technology is a way to spend funds from the US Department of Energy.
