There are more than 100 types of cancer, each with different signs and symptoms. When diagnosed with advanced cancer, the disease cannot be cured, however, with medical help and care can help patients deal with pain and other symptoms associated with a better way.

Physical changes in the final stage of cancer

In the late stages of cancer, cells grow abnormally and spread rapidly. The body undergoes a lot of physical changes. Some of them are mentioned as follows:

Shortness of breath

Shortness of breath is the most basic symptom, accounting for 70% to say that the patient has reached the final stage with manifestations of respiratory failure, bronchial obstruction.

Vomiting and nausea

In the final stage, patients often experience nausea and vomiting. The cause of this phenomenon may be due to:

Ascites

Most patients with terminal cancer will experience anorexia, lack of appetite, thereby leading to the body's inability to absorb nutrients and severe depression.

Dry mouth

The patient will have a feeling of dehydration, bitter mouth, thrush. The cause may be radiation therapy, sedation, antidepressants.

Constipation

Constipation is common in the late stages of cancer due to less activity, drinking less water and even unfamiliar surroundings. Weakness in the abdominal and pelvic muscles reduces the ability to pass through the rectum.

A few other changes:

  1. Cold legs, feet, arms and hands.
  2. Loss of bladder control.
  3. Difficulty in getting up while sleeping.
  4. Sleep a lot.
  5. Loss of consciousness.

Emotional changes in the late stages of cancer

A person who is dealing every minute with a fatal disease, will also experience some emotional changes as follows:

  1. Some people stop fighting their illness and accept fate, waiting for life to end. These people no longer want to communicate with others, and take time to pray.
  2. On the other hand, there are people who tend to be angry, scared, and even violent in the last days of cancer.
  3. Due to chemical changes in the body and brain, patients can scream, or become violent.

Each person needs to recognize the symptoms at the end of the cancer in order to have timely treatment, to stabilize the health and psychology of patients.
