Finally we know why people love each other

Sex or sex is a very basic need of all animals living on Earth. But we humans are different from animals, we come together because of love.

The love between people has probably appeared since the simplest society was formed. But what is the nature of love? So far, science has found evidence to answer that question: People have evolved to love.

People have evolved to love.

This can be said to be the first study to provide evidence that love affects fertility, and even the number of children the couple may have. The object of the study is the Hadza clan in Tanzania.

Why must be the Hadza clan - a minority? In fact, contraceptive methods have affected the relationship between love and the number of children. Meanwhile, the Hadza clan has a quite similar lifestyle to its ancestors. That's why the team from the University of Wroclaw chose this group.

To evaluate love in research, researchers used a method called " triangular love scale". As the name suggests, this method relies on three factors to evaluate love, including: closeness, passion, and long-term commitment.

After evaluation, scientists will compare with the number of children born."We find that the" commitment "factor and the number of children born are proportional to both genders," said study author Dr. Piotr Sorokowski.

In addition, the "passion" factor also affects the successful birth rate of women. However, intimacy is inversely proportional. Explaining this, experts say it is because that closeness happens in couples who have so many children surrounded.

However, with two factors "passion" and "attachment" , experts believe it is a sign that "love is the result of".

According to professor Michael Gratzke, a language expert at Hull University, he greatly appreciated this research. However, he warned that research is limited, because the definition of love in each culture is very different.

Love may not rely on fertility in modern society.

"The most important thing is whether the Hadza have a notion of love, and I'm not sure how the message is conveyed in the Aboriginal community," he said.

In addition, he also emphasized that in the world, love is not necessarily associated with fertility. "What is the meaning of love for modern people?"

The study was published in Frontiers in Psychology magazine.
