A group of British scientists have discovered the cause of increased pain and temperature sensitivity of diabetic patients , promising a new treatment for the side effects of diabetes Street.

>>>Blood glucose meter, health care therapy

In the past, abnormal glucose metabolism caused more pain in patients who were not clearly explained. So far, according to the team, methylglyoxal (MG) is overproduced from glucose in diabetes, a culprit that causes unpleasant pain.

'MG appears then attacks and changes an important protein in nerves called "Nav1.8" nerves that cause high sensitivity problems with painful wounds and extreme temperatures. So diabetics often suffer from severe pain when the temperature changes hot and cold , 'said Professor Paul Thornalley, a co-author of the study from Warwick University, UK.

With this finding, the study showed how to reduce pain by eliminating MG and opening up effective drug treatment for diabetics. Researchers at Warwick are currently investigating ways to increase the amount of an enzyme named Glo1 , to eliminate the MG catalyst.

It is known that pain when suffering from diabetes often occurs abnormally and prolongs pain for about 50% of patients, affecting sleep, mood, travel, work of patients.
