First flight laboratory for weather forecast

Russia's hydro-meteorological and environmental monitoring agency is testing a new flight laboratory equipped with unique meteorological devices to forecast the weather, recognize the bad weather signs, as well as Be able to cloud and ensure sunny weather on the necessary days.

Built on the basis of passenger aircraft YAK-42D, this is considered the world's first and most modern aircraft and laboratory in the past 20 years.

According to Russian experts, the laboratory is equipped with devices that can perform various functions such as: studying the current state of the atmosphere to anticipate approaching storms, measuring measure radiation levels.

The data was transferred to the center via satellites, allowing Rosgydromet experts to make timely preventive measures.

In addition, for the first time, the flight lab is equipped with a nitrogen dust injection generator that helps the YAK-42 aircraft to dissolve rain-forming clouds.

It is expected that the aircraft - this "modern" laboratory will premiere at the "Maks - 2013" air show , opening in late August in the suburbs of Moscow.
