Flying saucers appear on Google Maps, near Area 51

When a user searches for the keyword "Groom Lake" and drags and holds the Street View icon, a small flying saucer will appear on the map.

Google has just added a UFO icon to the Maps application in a web browser. Accordingly, when users search for the keyword "Groom Lake" and drag and hold the Street View icon , a small flying saucer will appear on the map.

This is a small addition but may increase curiosity for those who want to explore Area 51 , even "raiding" the area in the Naruto style as a trend on Facebook a few months ago.

Groom Lake is a salt lake located in the Nevada desert, north of Area 51. Area 51 is a high-level military area for the US Air Force. However, this place has long been believed to contain many conspiracy theories about aliens.

In 1954, US President Eisenhower launched the Aquatone project , with the goal of developing a new reconnaissance aircraft. The program requires a location that is difficult for people or espionage agents to access. Area 51 is the perfect choice.

In the summer of 1955, some people reported 'unidentified flying objects' (UFOs) around Area 51. In fact, it was the U-2 aircraft that the US Air Force was testing. This is the source of rumors of UFOs.

The US Air Force knows the ' unidentified flying object' is only U-2, but they cannot tell this to the public. The officials explained that it was a 'natural phenomenon' and 'an aerial study of the weather'. It was only in 2013 that the government acknowledged the existence of this military base.
