For the first time in Vietnam, there are new techniques to cure infertility that ...

No need to fertilize in vitro, 30% of infertility cases will be treated according to this technique with a high success rate, low cost. This is a "happy tearful" news for infertile infertile couples, officially announced by the Central Obstetrics Hospital last weekend.

Prof. - Deputy Minister of Health, Director of the National Center for Reproductive Assistance, "golden hand" has just successfully implemented this technique, said, this is the technique of uterine heating with uterine catheter In combination with laparoscopy , modern technology has been successfully applied for the first time in Vietnam.

According to Prof. Tien through research in 8 ecological regions in Vietnam, 7.7% of those who wish to have children are infertile.
Of which, nearly 60% are female infertility and account for more than half of this due to uterine occlusion. And the incidence of uterine gland occlusion accounts for a large proportion of 15-25%.

In the past, with interstitial cases, the doctor would drill, re-plug the uterus tube but it was very difficult, the post-operative success was low, the risk of narrowing was very large while this was a big, very heavy intervention.

"Therefore the best option for women with uterine gland occlusion is to fertilize in vitro. This is a very expensive method, most patients have no economic conditions. I have witnessed it. there are couples who have come to the house for 5-10 years to have enough money. When they come back, they are old, their ovaries are impaired, they cannot have children anymore, ' said Prof. Tien.

This new technique is a laparoscopic controlled surgery, so there are fewer complications.

With the new method, the doctor will dilate the uterus with a catheter through the uterine chamber with a laparoscopy. In particular, the cost of surgery is only equal to the cost of laparoscopic surgery, the time of surgery is short: 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Last weekend (April 6), the second patient was given a new method. Prof. Tien also directly participated in the surgery. Surgical patients today are much more difficult than in the previous case, when the uterus doctor has passed the interstitial section but is still clogged. They have to do one more technique to cut off the switch and then connect the two probes together. The test results showed that the surgery was successful.

Up to now, Prof. Tien has directly implemented for 2 patients, including the case of Hoang Anh Chau and Nguyen Thi Loan (Nghe An), who have been suffering from secondary infertility for 7 years.

After the operation a month ago, she and her husband were extremely happy when the doctor announced that her 2 spas had fully cleared and could conceive naturally.

"With the application of new technology every week at the center, it can be done in dozens of cases. This new technique is a laparoscopic controlled surgery so there will be less complications such as perforation of the uterus. , bleeding, postoperative peritonitis, in particular, with this method, after surgery to treat interstitial uterine occlusion, just leave the hospital as the patient can think and perform plans to have children and pregnancy rates will be high ".

At this point, the National Center for Reproductive Assistance will transfer this technique to implement at other maternity hospitals and provincial hospitals to reduce overload.

In Vietnam, the endoscopic endoscopic uterine imaging is applied by microsurgery, some cases of uterine endoscopy. The most difficult treatment for interstitial uterine infertility is difficult laparoscopic treatment, uterine chamber examination cannot be processed. If this new technique cannot be done, the patient must undergo in vitro fertilization to hope to get pregnant. After performing this technique, the patient will become pregnant naturally without any other method of intervention, returning the reproductive function as normal to the woman.
