Two headless crocodiles are found in a population of 12 new graves along with a series of human remains, many sheep and goats with dots on the skull and a cat, Fox News reported yesterday.

The burial tomb of 3,400 years old, located in the ancient sandstone quarry Gebel el Silsila on the banks of the Nile, between the cities of Luxor and Aswan of Egypt. Excavation lasted for many years with a total of more than 45 graves found.

John Ward, assistant project manager Gebel el Silsila, said most of the remains in the grave belong to miners. Their bodies seemed to be covered with a linen fabric. The number of sheep or goats in the grave may be sacrificial items. However, researchers are not sure if crocodiles are placed in graves for a certain purpose or they just accidentally drifted to the grave.

" The discovery is extraordinary. Becoming the first to find the tomb is the dream of all archaeologists, especially in Egypt , " Ward said.
