In the study, the authors demonstrated artificial skin to be effective in removing eye shadows as well as smoothing wrinkles under the eyes.

Mr. Langer and his colleagues hope to adjust XPL to contain more absorbent substances through human skin. For medical use, Langer said, this artificial skin has many advantages over other products available on the market.
