Ho Guom turtle with the same species as turtle in Suoi Hai

Through the analysis of the sample of turtle blood samples in Hoan Kiem Lake, the scientists confirmed that turtles now live in Hoan Kiem Lake with the same species collected in Quang Phu (Thanh Hoa), Suoi Hai and Huong Ky (Ha Internal).

According to the DNA analysis, published by Dr. Le Tran Binh, Institute of Biotechnology (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology ), Ho Guom tortoise is a large soft-shelled soft-shell turtle of Vietnam. named Rafetus Vietnamensis .

To clarify the origin of Vietnam's large freshwater soft-shell turtle, including a large turtle living in Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi, scientists from 2003 have been surveyed by scientists from the Institute of Biotechnology. and collect large samples of turtles from many localities in the Red, Da, Ma and Chu rivers.

Specifically, large samples of bone turtles were collected in Quang Phu (Thanh Hoa), Suoi Hai, Huong Ky (Hanoi). The results of sequencing the genes of these turtles are registered in the International Genetic Bank ; confirms that the turtle bone samples collected at these locations are the same and different from the Rafetus swinhoei (Shanghai, China).

Through the analysis of genetic samples of blood turtles currently living in Hoan Kiem Lake, scientists from the Institute of Biotechnology confirmed: Tortoises living in Hoan Kiem Lake are the same species as turtles collected in Quang Phu (Thanh Hoa). , Suoi Hai and Huong Ky (Hanoi), and this is the kind of big turtle softening soft drinks of Vietnam.
