Japan plans to build a tower of 1.6 kilometers high

If approved for construction, the Sky Mile Tower in Tokyo, Japan, will be twice as tall as the world's tallest Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

According to Business Insider, the skyscraper called Sky Mile Tower is part of a "Next Tokyo 2045" collaboration project between Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) and engineering company Leslie E. Robertson (LERA).The project will contribute to creating an ecological area, helping to combat sea level rise in Tokyo Bay, Japan.

After construction, Sky Mile Tower will have a height of over 1,600 meters, nearly double the tallest building in the world today is the Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai (829.8m).
