Literature findings only reveal 'precious' information

Thai Nguyen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the province has found a stone monument dating back to the 3rd Thanh Thai Tan Mao. This was the first stele discovered in Thai Nguyen, showing that at least 120 years ago, the province had a school.

From this epitaph, there is a basis to confirm that Thai Nguyen had a school from at least 120 years ago, as saved in the book "Dong Khanh Residents' Address (1888).

The above inscription stele was discovered by Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, an office officer of Nam Tien Secondary School (Pho Yen district, Thai Nguyen) during the process of excavating the foundation of the school library.

The steles are written only with Chinese characters engraved on a monolith of black monolith, which has been preserved and preserved by Thai Nguyen culture.

Stone stele is 60x37cm in size. According to observations with the naked eye, the top of the stele is engraved with the sun, the two sides have the symbol of 2 dragons, under 3 Chinese characters, temporarily translated as 'co-ordination of marbles'. 2 side valances beer decorated dotted vine vines.

In the center of the beer is 9 lines of Chinese characters, the highest line has 21 words, at least 5 words, a total of nearly 200 Chinese characters. The character engraved on the epitaph deep, showing the sophistication, clear lettering distance, and the legal method.

At the foot of the epitaph recorded the date: erection of beer on November 29 in Thanh Thai 3rd Tan Mao (1891). The content of the stele was translated as: recording the merit of the disciples who contributed to the construction of the school, worshiping the teachers who were local students.

The first time that beer was discovered about literature in Thai Nguyen province showed that at least 120 years ago, in Hoang Dam commune, now Nam Tien commune, Pho Yen district, there was a school base. This coincides with the book ' Dong Khanh over the address ' (1888) written in the feudal section of Pho Yen district: 'The total of Hoang Dam in the lower part is to study well.'
