Master of Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1965 died

French biologist Francois Jacob, who won the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1965 with his research on enzymes, died at the age of 92, AFP quoted relatives as saying April 21.

Accordingly, Mr. Francois Jacob, who was declared heroic in the war to liberate France in World War II, died on April 19.

He won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1965 with two fellow scientists, Andre Lwoff and Jacques Monod, on their discoveries in the genetic control of enzymes (biological catalysts with a basic component protein - according to Wikipedia) and the synthesis of the virus.

His achievements relied heavily on the genetic mechanisms of different types of bacteria. It helped him to be named by prestigious scholarships and he received many honors from around the world.
