The Perseids meteor shower is a phenomenon that occurs every August with the peak falling around the dawn of 12-14 August. Its supernovae were remnants of comets 109P / Swift-Tuttle toward the Sun. The last time this comet approached the Sun and cut through Earth's orbit was 1992 and the next time would be 2026.
