Figure of Marree People in the Australian desert.

Figure The Marree , also known as Stuart Giant, consists of deeply carved lines on the red ground, forming the hunter posture preparing to throw long spears. The circumference of the figure is 28km and the engraved line is 35cm deep.

The Marree were first discovered in 1998 by tour operator Trevor Wright, who saw the picture from above and informed authorities. For more than 20 years, no one knew about the creator of the painting or the reason the work was born.

Over the past two years, Smith and his colleagues sought to identify the origin of the drawings but were ineffective, partly due to the sparsely populated state. According to Smith, the work was designed according to the outline of the statue of the ancient Zeus.

"After two years of meeting people, I realized there was one, two people who didn't tell me the truth. I believe there were some people who created it. It could be people at university or government agencies. " , Smith shared.

After the drawing Marree appeared, naturally eroded the figure. But in recent years, the work has been restored using image data and bulldozers. The present work is owned by the native Arabana, living on more than 800 km 2 of land in the north of the figure.
