NASA has just opened two new missions to learn more about the Sun.

NASA now has many different missions to explore the space around us, but they still have new plans for the future. Recently, the agency announced it will open two new missions to discover our closest star: the Sun.

Picture 1 of NASA has just opened two new missions to learn more about the Sun.
2 missions will launch with one missile, all will be deployed in August 2022.

The first mission named PUNCH (Polarimeter to Unify the Corona and Heliosphere) will use 4 satellites to learn more about the Front . The solar wind has a very large amount of charged particles, which is not small impact for human devices to launch into space.

"The space between planets is not as empty as people think, but there are many particles from the Sun emitted. PUNCH will be the task to help us better understand the solar wind and other energies, help create the first images of what happens between the Sun and Earth " - Dr. Craig DeForest from NASA.

The second mission is called TRACERS (Recollection and Cusp Electrodynamics Reconnaissance Satellites) , using 2 satellites to learn about atmospheric space in Antarctica, where the Earth's magnetic field is bent, helping us learn about how it interacts with the Sun.

2 missions will launch with one missile , and 2 TRACERS satellites can help and joint mission with 4 satellites of PUNCH. All will be deployed in August 2022.
