People discharge nearly 190,000kg of garbage on the Moon

Apart from these, there are many other man-made objects left on the Moon.

After space exploration, people left behind a lot of scientific equipment and other items that were no longer used, Science Alert reported on February 2.

On July 20, 1969, the astronauts for the first time, marked an important milestone in human history. From then until December 1972, NASA returned to the Moon 5 more times and conducted various tests.

After six trips, NASA left a total of 809 objects on the Moon's surface. Including objects left by Russia in the Lunar Luna research program, there are about 187,400 kg of artificial objects in this place.

Among the Moon's artificial objects, there are both important scientific equipment and unused items. NASA astronauts once plugged six American flags and installed four light reflectors to help scientists calculate the distance between the Earth and the Moon. Thus, scientists discovered that the Moon is moving away from the Earth by about 3.8 cm per year.

Astronauts also face the problem of gravity when launching spacecraft leaving the Moon, so they leave unnecessary items like some parts of the spacecraft. Some personal items or vomit bags, waste bags, even two golf balls played by astronaut Alan Shepard in 1971 were also left here.
