AOS Technologies has launched a remote control system that looks after pets when the owner is away. The system is called iSeePet, which can take pictures of animals and send them via mobile phones to their owners.

It also has automatic food and drink machines that ring the bell when the food arrives. The company plans to launch a 40,000 yen product in January.

Matsushita Electric Works is introducing a 14,800 yen pet tracking camera. The device uses sensors to track animal movements, take pictures and send them to the owner's computer or mobile phone.

" With this camera, I no longer have to stay home to look after animals, " said a businesswoman.
