Private spacecraft landed in the sea, completing the historic mission

SpaceX's US unmanned aerial spacecraft (US) yesterday landed in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California, ending a successful trip of nearly 10 days.

The return of Dragon completed the first historical mission of a private spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS).

Dragon landed in the sea at 15:42 GMT (last hour in Vietnam time), very close to the location where the calculated spacecraft will fall, about 900km from the Baja Peninsula of Mexico.

The speedboats were waiting in the landing area that had been deployed to salvage the unmanned spacecraft.

'What a wonderful day. I'm very happy with this success, 'said Elon Musk, chief executive and chief engineer of SpaceX.

Dragon was launched on May 22 from the state of Florida, USA. The spacecraft carried half a ton of food and supplies to ISS astronauts and brought about 670kg of used equipment to Earth.

After being salvaged from the sea, Dragon will be taken back to the port, then transferred to Texas to inspect and unload the goods inside.

With the history of Dragon's history, SpaceX became the first private company to bring ships into space and return to the successful earth, the mission that only three countries, the US, Russia and China, could do before. .

Dragon's successful trip will also pave the way for SpaceX to sign a US $ 1.6 billion contract with the US Aerospace Agency (NASA) for 12 further voyages.

If unmanned supply flights to ISS succeed, SpaceX hopes to bring astronauts to the International Space Station in 2015.
