Reveal the process of embalming the Korean leader

Russian experts who helped North Korea during the mummification of President Kim Il Sung said they were willing to help if Pyongyang wanted to preserve Kim Jong-il's remains.

Pyongyang officials have not said whether they decided to embalm Kim Jong-il's body. Kim's father, the late Kim Nhat Thanh, was embalmed by Russian experts after his death in 1994 and is now placed in Kumsusan Memorial Palace.

If embalmed, Kim Jong-il will join a group of few famous figures in the world who have preserved the body in this way, including Lenin and Kim Nhat Thanh.

Pavel Fomenko, who came to Korea to support the embalming of President Kim Nhat Thanh, told about the jobs during that time.

"The scene that happened was not very pleasant , " Fomenko said. "Usually three to six experts are present, special cases have seven specialists. First, all organs are removed, vein is removed and blood is removed from the body's tissues. The body is placed in a glass tank filled with marinated solution, then closed and covered with a white cloth. Precise conditions of temperature and humidity are maintained in the room containing the corpse " , Fomenko told Moskovsky Komsomolets in the interview last week.

Gradually, the water in the body's cells will be replaced by the embalming solution. This process takes about 6 months.

Although the Soviet Union had collapsed two decades ago, Lenin's mummy remained intact in the mausoleum of Red Square in Moscow. The special conditions of the mausoleum were maintained by the Research Institute of Lang VI Lenin, now the Research Institute for Aromatherapy and Medicine (VILAR) from 1939 to the present.

The above methods also apply to embalming Joseph Stalin. However, Stalin's body was buried next to the Kremlin in 1961. Some other leaders in the world were also embalmed with the same method.

Fomenko said that he talked with President Kim Jong-il during the mummification of Kim Nhat Thanh. Fomenko's impression is that Kim Jong-il is a "healthy, energetic" person and can talk about any topic.

"I remember when President Kim Il Sung passed away, there was news that he was buried. But then we were ordered to prepare the equipment and a few days later flew to Pyongyang , " Fomenko said.

He said that Russia is now ready to help North Korea during the mummification of Mr. Kim Kong-il, even if it is only an experience, in the case of North Korea deciding to do so with the supreme leader. life

Russian experts of the Lenin Mausoleum also came to Korea several times to maintain the body of President Kim Il Sung. Each time it takes about a month, Mr. Fomenko said.

Acupuncture is a job that requires a lot of maintenance efforts. The body needs to be treated regularly to maintain it for decades. Lenin was placed in a glass casket to prevent invasion from bacteria completely and tested by experts twice a week.

Fomenko said, the Korean government has spent millions of dollars to embalm and maintain the body of President Kim Il Sung. He predicted that Pyongyang will also adopt the same method of preserving the 69-year-old leader Kim Jong-il.

President Kim Jong-il's reign is being placed solemnly in a glass coffin at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace in Pyongyang. There has been no official statement that Kim will be cremated, cremated or embalmed like his father.
