SpaceX tests the spacecraft's escape system

The spacecraft carrying the Crew Dragon can automatically ignite the engine to separate itself from the boosters in the event of an incident.

SpaceX, a US aerospace company, posted on social media a video of Crew Dragon's escape system tests, or Dragon 2, on September 13. If something goes wrong with the rocket carrying the ship into space, it will automatically burn the engine and then launch, then inflate the parachute to land. This shows the ability to ensure safety for astronauts.

Crew Dragon is equipped with 8 SuperDraco engines, allowing it to fly 0.8km in 7.5 seconds. The maximum speed of the ship is 700km / h. SpaceX has done more than 700 tests with this engine. In July, SpaceX also tested the ship's parachute at an altitude of 3,000-15.00m. However, the test is not always successful. Crew Dragon's cabin exploded in an experiment in April.

At the end of August, SpaceX tested the first floor of the Falcon 9. The rocket is expected to put Crew Dragon and two NASA astronauts into orbit on their first human flight. The exact flight time has not been announced.

The Crew Dragon can be reused and carries up to 7 astronauts into space. The auto-pairing event with the International Space Station (ISS) in early March made Crew Dragon the first US spacecraft to do this. The ship then landed safely off Florida.
