There are three families participating in the project, planting soybean on 3,500m2. Before participating in the project, families were trained in technical procedures for planting, caring, pest control and selecting good individuals to create varieties for the next crop.

The initial results have selected 1,000 individuals to breed (go), multiply the second spring crop and create a variety (g-2). By the third spring crop (2012-2013) Nam Dan produced massively more than 20ha of soybean variety 1 in 4 communes of Nam Tan, Nam Thuong, Hung Tien and Xuan Lam.

At present, farmers in four communes are focusing on harvesting the beans to release the land for Summer-Autumn production.

According to the assessment of Nam Dan Agricultural and Fishery Extension Station, the yield of Nam Dan ND1 soybean reached an average of 40kg / rod, exceeding the expected yield of 30kg / rod, creating the original Nam Dan main soybean variety.

Currently, the price of 1kg of certified seed is VND 80,000. This is a bean that has a higher income value than new soybean varieties.

According to the plan, in spring 2013-2014, Nam Dan will expand the area to 40ha for eight communes: Nam Loc, Van Dien, Xuan Hoa, Hong Long, Nam Tan, Nam Thuong, Hung Tien and Xuan Lam, to provide Sufficient sources of raw materials for the job of making Nam Dan district traditionally, each year producing and selling in and outside the province more than 60 thousand liters of traditional soy sauce, ensuring good quality.
