Terrible harm has never been known when eating fastfood

Experts have recently confirmed that an additional threat is somewhat terrible, especially for men.

Fast food (fastfood) seems to have become an integral part of a modern society, although its harms have been warned many times. In particular, fast food is believed to be the main cause of obesity and some other cardiovascular diseases.

Recently, however, scientists at George Washington University have even found an unprecedented danger of eating fastfood. More specifically, researchers believe fast food contains some toxic chemicals, including phthalate , which is believed to be the cause of male infertility.

Fastfood seems to be an indispensable part of modern society.

The problem is that this substance may not come from food but because of the preparation and processing of food, so it can be located in any food chain. According to Ami Zota, an associate professor at George Washington University and head of research, "We don't want to be bewildered, but really what we find is alarming."

Fast food is thought to contain chemicals that cause infertility in men.

To achieve this result, scientists have based on data from more than 9,000 people from nutrition surveys conducted during the 2003-2010 period. The data will include a lot of information: diet time and urine samples at the same time.

At the end of the survey, the scientists found that 3,000 people - one-third of the candidates had eaten fastfood a day before the urine test, and the strange thing was that their urine had a phthalates concentration - DEHP. and DiNP - extremely high. In it, those who say they eat less than 15.5% more DEHP than usual. As for those who play big size meals, the concentration can be 39% higher.

The fact that phthalates are harmful is controversial because it is widely used in commerce.

Zota shared: "We tried many different ways, but the results are still unchanged."

In fact, the harmful effects of phthalates are still controversial , because this substance is used a lot in commerce. However, a 2012 study showed very strong evidence that phthalate DEHP causes diabetes . In 2013, phthalate is thought to cause allergies in children, and by 2016, phthalate is suspected of causing infertility in men.

And as mentioned above, this chemical does not come from food, but because of preparation and processing. Zota thinks that fast food shops use machines and technology too much. The more machines, plastics, chains . the more likely it is to get phthalate contamination.

This is believed to be the cause of phthalate contamination.

"I really hope that this research will help the public have more awareness of fast food, and manufacturers will consider their food processing process" - Zota shared.
