The 84-year-old agro and the

No formal training, but for nearly 30 years, Dinh Cong Vien farmers in Ha Nam have been constantly tinkering and inventing machines for agricultural production.

Mr. Dinh Cong Vien was born into a poor family in Hamlet 5, Kha Phong Commune, Kim Bang District, Ha Nam Province. Before going to the army, he could only learn one month of popular classes in the countryside to erase illiteracy, enough for him to assemble Vietnamese letters and spelling.

After the country was completely liberated, he left the field and did all kinds of jobs, wandering across the provinces to earn a livelihood. In 1985, he decided to return to his home town to settle down. Every day, he was exposed to the life of the field, feeling the pains of the farmers, he thought: "There is electricity used, why not try to make a machine to produce replacement limbs?".

Mr. Vien said: "Many days I saw my wife and I staying up all night, waking up to remove corn, the whole house was planted so it was very hard and peeled so much that the fingertips bleed blood. get a separate particle separator, separate core for wife and children to work hard ".

In 1988 he started inventing corn separators. To study, he had to "break" a thresher threshing machine into a corn separator. He mounded the iron hooks, added lids, rolling floor, core discharge floor and then tried the machine. But when corn is poured into this head, it comes out the other "whole". So, the beginning failed!

Seeing Mr. Vien's work, his neighbors began to detract, saying that he was a "bad guy" , and his relatives also tried to discourage them when they saw a huge loss of money without success. Mr. Vien ignored all ears.

"I think it is always difficult to start things first, it is important that I dare to face them. I can work and work at night and make my own experiences" , he said. Vien said.

Mr. Vien's hard work also worked, when creating a corn separator that worked well. He jumped up happily, the machine he invented every hour could remove more than 5 quintals of corn, equivalent to 15 people peeling by hand all day and night, saving time and labor.

Not stopping there, old farmer Dinh Cong Vien continued to study more functions on the same corn separator. Thinking about where to do it, self-tinkering and taking the pen to model the parts and assembling the parts together, in 2004 the multi-purpose machine "4 in 1" (cup of corn, beans soy sauce, rice plucking, plucking) has officially operated successfully.

The machine does everything from peanut, clean plucking, is classified separately, without any dirt and without consuming electricity or gasoline. The machine can pluck 3 sao of rice or 3 sao of soybean within 1 hour, 20 times more than made with limbs. Since then, everyone in the area has admired his tinkering and creativity.

By 2010, he studied and added another function, the green bean curd, the farmer's "5 in 1" machine has fully integrated many common features in production.

The good news is far away, many people in the region and some neighboring provinces like Thanh Hoa, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Tuyen Quang . come to his house to learn and need to buy machines for production.

From inventing a home server, he began inventing to sell to people at reasonable prices. Each of these machines he made alone by the manual stages, it took 3 weeks to complete, and then sold for about 6-7 million VND. A lot of people after the trial have complimented the versatility of this compact machine. So far, he has made nearly a hundred cars serving people throughout the region.

"Calling to sell, but every item I have to buy outside of the assembly, the work is not covered, but in exchange for the machines I created have effective effect, helping people in production and harvesting. That is the greatest joy for me, " said Vien.

Not only inventing a "5 in 1" machine, the 84-year-old farmer also created 7 types of machines for agriculture such as chopping, slicing food for humans and cattle, pulverizing machine, and seeding machine. The future has both a plowing function and a cultivating machine on one machine and sells for between 500 thousand and 3 million VND each.

With useful values brought to farmers, Mr. Vien's machine was honored to exhibit at the Ministry of Agriculture, national agricultural fairs. In 2011, he was honored to receive the third prize of the national agricultural technical innovation competition for the fourth time, with many awards from the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang, a villager, said: "Since Mr. Vien's versatile machine, our people no longer have to work hard to get rid of peanuts and corn. We respect him very much."

Mr. Vien shared, his greatest joy is how to invent many more agricultural tools to help her people reduce poverty and release labor for farmers.
