Famous killer whales specialize in eating dolphin meat. Last weekend, while exploring the sea, Captain Michael of the Sanctuary cruise ship recorded a scene of chaotic dolphins trampled on each other when suddenly surrounded by fierce whales.

1,000 dolphin herds recognize the presence of killer whales when one in the herd is attacked. Although overwhelming in numbers, dolphins are not strong enough to resist. Their choice is simply to run as quickly as possible. Although a dolphin is killed, the event may be just a hunting practice of the killer whale.

The amount of dolphins off the coast of southern California is very rich, but in the past few years, they have appeared in Monterey Bay, farther north than their typical habitat. They are ambushed by killer whales, but rarely are lucky enough to catch sight and record.
