The north is hard to observe the largest meteor shower of the year

It rained, cloudy hindered the observation of the largest meteor shower in the North, while the South could be better.

Geminids are said to be the king of meteor showers that will peak on the night of December 14 and December 15 with the number of meteors predicted to be over 100 streaks per hour.

Dang Tuan Duy, Ho Chi Minh City amateur astronomical club (HAAC) said that in Vietnam, the best time to observe this Geminids is 1 am December 15 , when the Gemini constellation, the center of the meteor shower , quite high compared to the horizon.

Geminids are a phenomenon that happens every year because of a series of small pieces of rock (meteorites) that enter the earth's atmosphere. Stone pieces are remnants left on the path of the 3,200 Phaethon comet as it enters the Solar System.
