The heavy wind blew a small aircraft off the runway of Reno airport, causing the aircraft to be damaged.

According to the Associated Press news agency, the California Department of Transportation posted a picture to its Twitter account on September 16 showing snow covering Interstate 80, 16 km to the west of Truckee (California), 16 miles west.
