The US recovered 1 million birth control pills

Pfizer is recalling a million boxes of birth control pills because of a product error. The amount of hormones contained in each pill is not enough, increasing the risk of "breaking the plan" of the sisters.

Recovered drugs include: 14 Lo / Ovral drug lots (one blister of 28 tablets) and 14 generic Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol drug lots. They will expire around July 31, 2013 to March 31, 2014.

According to a company spokesman, the recall only applies to products in the United States, and that error has been corrected immediately. This recall is not for safety reasons but because it increases the risk of unwanted pregnancy.

However, the company still recommends that women see a doctor for advice and use another method of contraception.
