The video shows an unprecedented deep freak monster

Dubbed as a deep sea monster because of its bizarre, ugly shape, it is considered the rarest creature of all deep-sea fishes.

According to Sputnik, the 25-minute video, shot at a depth of 792 meters, shows Anglerfish swimming about 1360km from the west coast of Portugal.

The two researchers Kirsten and Joachim Jakobsen recorded a rare video of this deep-sea monster using special diving equipment, during an expedition near the island of Sao Jorge.

Anglerfish is considered the rarest of all deep-sea fish species. According to the researchers, Anglerfish's opalescent eyes are useless at the depth it resides. Instead, this fish lives on small white dots covering the body, to feel the movement of other creatures around.

This is the most detailed video about the deep sea monster Anglerfish.

Male Anglerfish are much smaller than females and they look less scary. Tiny males have no parts called fishing rods or bait, and are almost incapable of finding food themselves. Once females are found, the males will bind to the females' body.

Over time, male fish gradually enter the female, leaving only the reproductive organ to supply sperm when the female is ready to reproduce.

Meanwhile, the female Anglerfish is equipped with a long strip of meat sticking out. This "fishing rod" acts as a bioluminescent, attracting small fish or squid to swim through deep seawater.

When the prey comes close enough, Anglerfish will use long, sharp teeth to grab it.
