The word storm is 'lying on waiting' cycle to attack Earth

Many studies around the world show that when people recorded the phenomenon of magnetic storm about 265 years ago, on average over 11 years there will be a strong magnetic storm cycle. However, there are also short cycles (7-8 years) and long (14-15 years), storms from new appearances are strong again.

In 2001 there were many storms from strong appearances. And in theory, by 2012 the storm will 'land' on Earth. However, until 2012, scientists have not observed any storms from level G4, G5 (the highest level) but only recorded 32 storms from which there are 2 G3 levels.

Meanwhile, in their cycle, magnetic storms appear on average from 40-45 games per year and there are strong matches of G4, G5. Therefore, scientists still . wait for the storms from the big in 2013-2014.

But in 2013 scientists only recorded one storm from G3 level and by this time of 2014 there has not been any storm from G3 level.

Associate Professor Ha Duyen Chau said that when he attended the International Conference on Space Weather in November 2013 in Kunming (China), world scientists have completely agreed the cycle of magnetic storms. 24 (maximum in 2012) is one of the weakest solar activity cycles when no G4, G5 storms appear.

Therefore, at the present time, the storm has weakened much and gradually went down to quiet years. And according to my cycle, by 2023, new storms will reach their maximum.

In a conversation with reporters, Dr. Le Huy Minh, Vice Chairman of the Scientific Council (Institute of Geophysics) said that magnetic storm is not a rare phenomenon but it appears every year. Statistics from the Institute of Geophysics show that in 1989 many storms occurred with 44 matches. In 2000 there were 40 storms from and 2007, 2008 with about 10 matches / year.

Associate Professor Ha Duyen Chau explained that the cause of magnetic storms is due to the giant plasma beams neutralizing electricity of charged particles emitted by the bursts of the solar sphere. These plasma beams on the way to Earth will envelop Earth, the effect with the Earth's magnetic field creating a circular electric system around the Earth, causing magnetic storms.

When a magnetic storm occurs, the entire Earth will be affected. And when there are big storms, people with cardiovascular disease, osteoarthritis . will feel the most when the disease increases. In addition, works such as 500KV line, oil and gas pipeline will be the direct impact of magnetic storms. Typhoons also affect satellites, distort or lose GPS signals, transmit radio waves, to aviation, maritime .

Currently, Vietnam has 4 magnetic stations that can be recorded from the school, built in 1957 by Sa Pa station, Phu Thuy (Hanoi) built in 1961, Da Lat built in 1981 and Bac Lieu in 1988.

Associate Professor Ha Duyen Chau also said that some modern geomagnetic stations in the world could make forecasts before the storm reached about 30 minutes (this is not enough in Vietnam, techniques to do). However, when there are storms from G4, G5 levels, experts will receive notices in major research centers around the world and widely announce in newspapers and websites of the Institute of Geophysics.
