Tropical depressions landed on the East Sea

This morning, April 17, the tropical depression passed the Central Philippines into the East Sea, the first tropical depression in 2017 in the South China Sea.

According to the Central Hydrometeorological Center, this morning, April 17, the tropical depression overtook the central Philippines to enter the East Sea.

This is the first tropical depression this year in the East Sea. In 2016, the tropical depression first appeared on the East Sea in late May.

At 7 am April 17 , the position of the tropical depression center was about 13.0 degrees north latitude; 118.0 degrees Kinh Dong. The strongest wind in the area near the center of strong tropical depression at level 6 (40-50km / hour), shock level 7, level 8.

It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours , tropical depressions will move in the northwest direction, about 15-20km every hour.

By 7 o'clock on April 18 , the position of the tropical depressive center was about 15.8 degrees Vi Bac; 116.4 degrees Kinh Dong. The strongest wind in the area near the center of strong tropical depression at level 6 (40-50km / hour), shock level 7, level 8.

In the next 24 hours , the area is dangerous (strong winds of level 6 or higher, shock level 7-8, rough seas) from the 11th to 170th parallel, east of the 1150E meridian. Level 3 disaster risk level.

In the 24 to 48 hours to the tropical depression it is possible to change direction to the north.
