Two more 'moons' of the Earth were discovered

Known for the first time in the 1960s, however, only recently large clouds of orbiting dust orbiting the Earth are officially conceived as "the moon".

According to National Geographic magazine, our Earth may not only have one "Sister". After more than half a century of speculation and controversy, Hungarian astronomers and physicists have confirmed the existence of two other Earth's "moons" created entirely from dust.

This affirmative view is presented in the scientific report published in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. The team tried to capture images of mysterious dust clouds just 250,000 miles from Earth, the Moon's equivalent distance from Earth.

Previously, researchers have mentioned the presence of many natural "companions" of the Earth. However, it was not until 1961 that the scientific community saw dust clouds with the contribution of Polish astronomer Kazimierz Kordylewski . To credit, dust clouds are named Kordylewski.

Hungarian astronomer, Judit Slíz-Balogh, is also the co-author of a study that validates the existence of two hidden "moons" of the Earth, stating: "The Kordylewski clouds are the most difficult object to find, and although they are close to Earth like the Moon, it is almost ignored by astronomers. "

"It is interesting to say that our planet has dust clouds like satellites orbiting our moon neighbor , " said the astronomer.

According to the latest findings, dust clouds are almost 9 times wider than our Earth.
