Video: The fireball flashes in the sky of the American capital

The glowing fireball appeared suddenly in the sky and disappeared after only a few seconds.

According to The Christian Science Monitor, many residents of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC saw a fireball soar across the sky on the evening of January 30.

A man named Alexander Salvador recorded a fireball image on the street in Falls Church, Virginia. Observers described it as very large and bright, emitting a sizzling sound and breaking into pieces.

According to the US Aeronautics Agency (NASA), the fireball may be an unusually bright meteor. However, the American Meteor Society, which tracks fireballs in the northeast, has not received any reports of debris falling to the ground.
