Vadi application helps drivers know the road ahead will encounter signals, traffic problems.

To create this application, the team developed a voice communication solution with users on the basis of artificial intelligence technology (AI). With high quality speech synthesis technology (Text to Speech - Text To Speech), naturally like human voices, Vadi gives listeners the right to speak every time there is new news on the news. electronic media.

Research conducted from the beginning of this year, directed to users who are driving. For them, traffic maps and warnings are very important, but Vietnam now relies heavily on GPS or listening to VOV to know about traffic conditions, without warning every time there is a problem.

According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, a member of the research team, using Vadi users will receive notification of accidents, traffic jams or floods in real time, thereby giving suggestions to drive the roads. other.

Vadi also serves entertainment needs by integrating newspaper reading technology. For example, users can ask Vadi to read an article about the World Cup soccer game last night, or ask to find a way to a certain location by voice, no manual manipulation.

"We are the first group in Vietnam to integrate traffic and reading maps in an application , " Dr. Trang said. Particularly in the voice, the group takes a lot of time to create a voice with intonation that is most attractive and close to the user, unlike the normal reading machine language which is regular and unnatural.

The application currently has nearly 5,000 users. The team completed the voice control feature for Vadi, making it convenient to use, especially when driving. In the future, in addition to providing maps and newspapers, the group will provide additional services such as audio books, spoken stories or other forms of entertainment for drivers.

Sharing about difficulties, student Le Van Thang said, due to many fields in map technology, such as how to inform the fastest and most accurate, the group takes a lot of time. Sometimes it was almost awake all night for the whole month to work together.

The group has also improved features for users to respond and reflect on the current traffic situation. This information will be verified to provide the fastest and most accurate notification to the user.

In Vietnam, speech synthesis technology is being applied by some businesses in automated answering systems and public announcement systems.
