The original roses are cream-colored but then turn into color thanks to the dyes mixed into the water at the same time so that the flowers suck up. The process of dyeing this flower lasts 12-24 hours. However, the secret to the petals of different colors is still kept private.

The 'father' of this colorful rose is Peter van de Werken, a florist in the Netherlands. He bought Vendela roses, had long stalks, dyed them and distributed them all over the world.

These dyed roses retain the sweet aroma and 'life expectancy' no less than the usual roses.

Multicolored roses are quite expensive.

More than one million roses have been sold out within a year in Japan, Italy, Sweden and now available in the UK. However, the price of these colorful roses is not cheap, 35.78 USD per cotton and 94.78 USD per dozen, 12 times higher than the usual red rose.

So perhaps the message of these multicolored roses is simply 'you deserve them.'
